On May 17 I was able to attend my future sis-in-laws bridal shower in Bryan. I am so excited that she and my brother have found each other. I know that they will be a great blessing to each other and be an example of Christ's love for all those around them.
Delaney was able to attend her first shower. She decided it was time to help Aunt Michelle open up the gift from us.

Success!! What a cute pose you two!! Who would have guessed that just 10 minutes before Delaney was being extremely shy since she had just woken up from her 10 minute nap in the truck on the way over to the shower.

After the shower was over there was plenty of picture taking all around with all the different groups of friends that attended Michelle's shower. What a blessing to have so many friends. Delaney decided to practice her picture taking skills too :-) Here is Michelle and her mother Peggy posing so beautifully for Delaney. (love you Michelle - don't hate me too much). I think that Delaney did a great job of framing her subjects.

Bad picture (because those taking the picture were sitting on the couch). The beautiful bride-to-be, Delaney and myself.

Delaney decided after the shower that she really liked Michelle's mom Peggy. They were exchanging shoes. Delaney decided that she liked wearing Peggy's shoes better than Peggy wearing hers.

Have you ever wondered what boys do when all the girls are at a shower? Well when we got back we found out....DQ ice cream and TV. Here Delaney is hanging out with my brother Kyle, the groom-to-be at Michelle's house. John and Blaine also got to hang out. When I asked Blaine what they did he quickly said they went to get ice cream. He has not quite got the hang of "somethings you just don't tell mom" - or so his uncle told him after.

I love you Kyle and am so proud to call you my big brother. I am super excited that you and Michelle will be getting married in less than 3 months. I pray everyday for your upcoming wedding and marriage and that it will be pleasing to God and that you guys are able to continue to grow together in God. Michelle, I am glad to call you my sis-in-law. You have just jumped head first into my crazy family and loved us the whole time. I enjoy the conversations that just happen when the four of us (six if you count kids) get together.
